Join NINR as we bring leading experts in systems and models of care to share their knowledge at an upcoming NINR Director’s Lecture. Dr. Lusine Poghosyan, Stone Foundation and Elise D. Fish Professor of Nursing at Columbia University, and Dr. Ellen-Marie Whelan, Chief Population Health Officer, CMS Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, will be presenting research priorities and the practice and policy implications of nursing research through the systems and models of care lens.

NINR is working with the "All of Us" Research Program and 26 other institutes, centers, and offices from across the National Institutes of Health to support new research on the "All of Us" Researcher Workbench. These grants, solicited through R03 and R21 funding opportunities, will help support analysis of the Researcher Workbench data using standard tools and methods, as well as the development and use of new tools or methods.
Dr. Mia Rochelle Lowden joined NINR in August 2022 as the Institute's first Chief Scientific Diversity Officer, or CDO. The position is a crucial part of the federal government-wide response to President Biden's Executive Order on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce, and its subsequent strategic plan on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, or DEIA.

The NIH UNITE Initiative
The UNITE initiative was established to identify and address structural racism within the NIH-supported and the greater scientific community. With representation from across the NIH Institutes and Centers, UNITE aims to establish an equitable and civil culture within the biomedical research enterprise and reduce barriers to racial equity in the biomedical research workforce.
